The City of Naples currently is rated a Class 2 (Fire Rating) Community by the ISO (Insurance Services Organization). A Class 1 rating is the highest rating and a 10 rating is the lowest. This high rating benefits our residents by allowing them to purchase property insurance at a reduced rate.”

The City of Naples has once again been awarded a Class 6 rating by the CRS (Community Rating System). This high rating allows residents to realize a 20% reduction in the cost of obtaining flood insurance.

Water damage to a building can occur at anytime from a variety of conditions (storms/plumbing failures/etc.). The removal of water/damaged carpet/minor drywall removal/etc. can be performed by a properly licensed water restoration company w/o permits or approval from this office. When the need for a building permit exists but the Building Dept. is closed Knauf-Koenig Group knows the Florida Building Code does provide for repairs to be made under such circumstances. A permit application shall be submitted by Knauf-Koenig Group to the department the next business day. We contact the department as soon as “emergency repairs” are determined to be needed (usually these repairs involve the replacement of a defective electrical service or HVAC system but other conditions could apply).

Although a building permit is required for most construction related work. Various improvements of real property may not require a Building Permit. The work exempted must still be constructed in accordance with minimum code standards.
